It is my desire to start a Charter School one day and deal with students that are at risk academically and behaviorally. The vision would be a high school where students would spend the first year or two in an academy and take reading, writing, and math and technology courses. these students would have to get to grade level before they would be promoted to the ninth grade.
The school day would look more like a college day with limited subjects but multiple classroom sessions. All students would use laptops, and text books would be electronic.
There is such a need for supports for students who struggle, and the link between behavior and academics is often overlooked. Are you teaching currently?
